Dear Students, Parents, and Staff,
As we wrap up the first nine weeks of school, I want to celebrate the growth and dedication of our students, teachers, and staff since we welcomed students back on July 31.
During this time, we have welcomed three incredible new staff members, resumed our full morning routine with the flag salute, and hosted a well-attended Curriculum Night, where the Pledge to Parents was signed by our board, reflecting a true commitment to the education of our students. We have also provided outstanding after-school programming through our partners at MSB, honored a former NYC firefighter during our September 11 commemoration, hosted the Scholastic Book Fair, celebrated the dedication of our Lady Eagles volleyball team, and enjoyed learning about Mrs. Craig’s class’s experience at the Burton Barr Library. Quarter two promises even more excitement, including our first annual Trunk or Treat event.
I am grateful to our teachers for their commitment to high-quality instruction and to our parents for their partnership and trust, which make a meaningful difference in student success. I encourage all students to continue challenging themselves and taking pride in their achievements. Together, we can make the next quarter even more successful.
I am proud to serve as your principal and look forward to the accomplishments the next quarter will bring.
With appreciation,
Laurine Stafin
Principal, Freedom Academy
