Executive Order Delays Start of the 2020-2021 Academic Year
June 30, 2020
Good Afternoon Freedom Families,
Yesterday, Governor Ducey issued an Executive Order that delayed the reopening of schools for in-person instruction until August 17th.
As a school, we are taking this guidance under review in our planning for the upcoming year. The health and well-being of our students and families are of utmost importance to us in this process, and it is our intent to remain flexible to shift under any constraints that are placed upon us. In this increasingly uncertain landscape, we strive to find and provide clarity for our families in regard to students’ educational pathways going forward. This is a very difficult process, but we are committed to making the best decisions for our students, educators, and families. Please expect more information as it becomes available.
As closures extend, we want to reassure our families that we are here to support you and your children. We look forward to being able to build those lasting relationships with your children, grow them academically, and to nurture the desire to be contributing members of their community. Please be open to further opportunities for input going forward.
Now is the time where we need to support one another, listen to one another, and work together to find solutions. Please let us know if there is any way we can support you or someone you know. We will continue to monitor this evolving situation and let you know when we receive any new information.
Thank you for your continued support, patience, and understanding in these arduous times. We are proud to serve our Freedom families!
